Are you Born Again?

  • Are you saved?
  • God desires that we are all saved and that no one should perish but come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). The Bible says, "we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Deciding to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior is the greatest decision of your life. More than what job you will get, what house you will buy, even more important than who your spouse will be. This decision will determine where you will live not for the next 20 or 30 years, but for all of eternity.

Salvation comes from the grace of God and only from the grace of God. It is not something you can earn or even buy. You cannot receive it by being a "good person". The Bible says, "For it is by grace you have been saved. By faith, and this not from yourselves is the gift from God. Not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Bible also says, "He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy" (Titus 3:5).

God loves you more than you know. He loved you before you were born. "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). "Whoever has the Son, has life, whoever does not have the Son of God, does not have life" (1 John 5:12).

  • How do you receive salvation?
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave. Confess to Christ that you are a sinner. Pray and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins, come into your heart and take control of your life. Surrender all to Him. That's it!

If you just said the above prayer, you have made a commitment to Jesus Christ. You have become a new creation in Christ and a part of His family (John 1:12). Welcome to the Family of God! You may feel completely free as if a heavy weight has just been lifted off your shoulders or you may not feel any different than you did before. Fret not! Your spirit has been made new. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come"
    (2 Corinthians 5:17).

  • Now what do I do?
    1. Find yourself a Bible-believing church that will teach you the uncompromised, pure Word of God.
    2. Begin to read and study the Bible. Study it as an instructional guidebook on how to live your life and overcome it here on earth.
    • God Bless you and welcome to the family of God!
