Message From Our Pastor

"Why am I so discouraged? Why am I so sad? I will put my hope in God! God does provide!"
(Psalm 42:5-6)

Where’s Your HOPE?

It’s a fascinating phenomenon. You can wake up one morning feeling full of hope . . . and the very next morning, you may feel completely hopeless for no reason at all. Hope is a very interesting feeling!

But regardless of what a given day may bring, it is important that each one of us know where to go in order to restore our hope. Psalm 42:5-6 states: Why am I so discouraged? Why am I so sad? I will put my hope in God! God does provide!

In His Word, God has set out a checklist of things we should maintain, so that our hope does not fully drain away. These things are:

Food. Yes, it’s important for us to have a proper diet. But just as important is the nutrition of God’s Word. Eat it! –it satisfies!

Rest. Ever tried to go full speed all day without stopping? You end up exhausted! Likewise, we must rely constantly on Jesus to find inner rest and a divine supply of strength.

Exercise. A chronic couch potato will soon develop a hopeless, in-grown perspective on life. Spiritually, too, we must exerciseour faith by obeying Jesus and living for Him daily. God will restore your hope as you maintain these three areas!
